The TI-30xa has a ton of great features that satisfy most school and workplace needs.

• Fractions entered in traditional numerator/denominator format

The TI-30xa is battery powered, but has a tremendous battery life span. I’ve literally used my TI-30xa for years before having to change out the battery. My TI-89 seems to run out of batteries once every few months, and I hardly ever use it! By the way, the TI-30xa comes with batteries.

The calculator also comes with a slide-on case that helps to protect the buttons and display. When in use, the case can slide on the back for easy storage.

Other than the tremendous functionality, one of the best features of the TI-30xa is that the display holds up to 10 digits. As an engineer, I have to be able to see the decimal places so that I can be as precise as I need to be for the application.
